Overall Winner - Rob Henderson

Rob's set of three images of Scotland were incredible.  His use of light and carefully considered composition really stood out amongst strong competition.  Congratulations to Rob who wins a Nikon Zf and 24-70mm Lens.

2nd Place - Ryan Smith

Ryan's set of images were from three different locations and his use of dramatic light was incredible as can be seen in this image from Chrome Hill in the Peak District.  Ryan wins £200.

3rd Place - William Hickie

William's images all from the Peak District were all shots I wish I had taken.  He also submitted different styles of images from this dramatic shot of sunset at the Salt Cellar to softer misty woodlands.  William wins £100.

For a free to enter landscape photography competition the 1st prize is amazing - a £2,500 camera and lens.

The Rules

Open to Young Landscape Photographers in the UK

The competition is open to anyone from age 16 to age 25. You must be that age on 20th February 2025 and the winner will be announced on the 20th March 2025

Due to the difficulty in the mailing of the prize this competition is only open to young photographers in the UK. There will be more free competitions in the future open to people from all over the world.

All entries must submit 3 images. No more / No less

Your entry will be judged on all 3 images as a group. They don’t have to be of a similar nature. So you can enter a woodland image and a seascape image. But enter your best 3 images.

Images must be less than 2Mb per image and a maximum of 2000px on the longest edge.

The 3 images in your set of images must be named as follows

firstname_surname_01 
firstname_surname_02 
firstname_surname_03

e.g. nigel_danson_01 nigel_danson_02 nigel_danson_03

Only one entry per person

Only one set of 3 images per person.

Images must be Landscape Photography

All images entered must be landscape photography. So the predominant part of the image must be of nature. Images may contain man made objects but they must not form a majority of the image.

Excessive editing isn’t allowed

Images can be edited but you can not excessively alter an image. Examples of what isn’t allowed are

  • Replacing skies

  • Adding elements of any kind

  • Any use of AI

  • Cloning out large areas of an image (small amounts of cloning are allowed)

Closing date is the 20th February 2025

After closing date there will be three rounds. If you get through to the 3rd rounds then proof of age will be required and the RAW images of the submissions. Only entries that have made it through to the 3rd round will be contacted.
